As the Policy Administrator of the world’s first deployment of STIR / SHAKEN, an interconnected framework of standards that digitally authenticates phone numbers to verify that a call is coming from the authentic source, iconectiv’s Chris Drake alongside executives Global will join the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) series of workshops to examine different measures to address vulnerabilities in existing networks, services and protocols. |

Chris from iconectiv Drake is responsible for internal and external technology initiatives, including emerging opportunities in trusted communications, cybersecurity, mobile content, mobile identity, virtualization, and M2M / IoT. He contributes to various efforts of the GSMA, including the Fraud and Security Group, the Networks Group, and the Industry Specification Approving Group. He is also a member of the board of directors and executive committee of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), chairman of the ATIS Technology and Operations Council and a member of the board of directors of the SIP Forum. Drake is a long-time member of the CTIA Cyber Security Working Group, the Cyber Security Advisory Board of the Pace University Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, and has served on the Industry Advisory Board of the Security and Software Engineering Research Center. (S2ERC) for Georgetown and Ball State University through the National Science Foundation. Drake also sits on the FCC’s federal advisory committee, the North American Numbering Council. |
