“What to do about mom? “| A community forum on aging May 1 | South Pasadenan
A community workshop – What to do with mom? – Designed for families and caregivers to help them cope with aging is scheduled for Wednesday May 1 at 6:30 p.m. in the South Pasadena Library Community Room.
The event, presented by the Seniors Commission and the City’s Senior Center, will feature seven speakers covering a variety of topics facing seniors.
Among the issues discussed will be the discussion with parents, the role of adult protective services, the welfare of caregivers, the use of an occupational therapist, the establishment of a health care directive advances, hoarding and problem identification before the crisis.
Agencies serving the elderly will be available to share information on services. Refreshments, sponsored by the Senior Citizens Foundation, will be available.
