Dana Point schedule

The Sierra Club Angeles Chapter will be hosting a free forum and participatory workshop on Saturday, April 23, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way in Mission Viejo.

The event will include information on changes in global weather conditions, climate change already affecting our coasts and a discussion of what lies ahead for coastal businesses, landowners, residents and cities.

Guest speakers include Jere Lipps and Stefanie Sekick from Surfrider Foundation, professional engineer Robert Stein, Ray Heimstra from OC Coastkeepers, Mark Donovan from South Coast Water District, and Kimberly Serrano and Abby Reyes from the UCI Sustainability Initiative: FloodRISE Project .
