Stakeholders invited to attend workshop on preventing trafficking in persons
Community safety and the protection of citizens are at the heart of the mandates of civil society organizations and ministries. Stakeholders are invited to participate in a capacity building workshop focusing on the prevention of human trafficking. The KwaZulu-Natal Task Force on Human Trafficking, Harmful Traditional Practices, Prostitution, Pornography and Brothels (HHPPB), Sparrow Trust and the Amanzimtoti Community Policing Forum invite all stakeholders to attend the workshop.
“Topics covered will include indicators of human trafficking, reporting procedures, standard operating procedures and legal aspects that all stakeholders who may come into contact with a potential victim should be aware of,” said the director of Sparrow Trust, Estelle van Eeden.
The training will be hosted live by the HHPPB task force and will take place on Wednesday October 6 from 8:30 am 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. It will take place at the Sweetwaters Church located at 6 Sanders Road, Winklespruit. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, September 29. For more information, contact Estelle via WhatsApp on 082 263 9710 or by email [email protected].
