Public invited to the Child Care Community Forum – The Vacaville Reporter

The Solano County Office of Education (SCOE) and the Solano Child Care Planning Council invite families, caregivers, child care providers and the community to attend the Community Forum on Child Care, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on March 12, 2022 via Zoom.
Presentations and a panel discussion will include Solano Family & Children’s Services (child care resources and referral services), Help Me Grow Solano, Solano Family Resource Centers and Vallejo First 5 Center.
A Better Way Mental Health First Aid training will be offered and attendees can learn about local resources and organizations that offer support to children and families.
The roundtable will also discuss the impacts, responses, and outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic for the child care system, providers, and clients these organizations serve.

The Solano Child Care Planning Board operates under the authority of the Solano County Board of Supervisors and the County Superintendent of Schools. The council is responsible for planning and coordinating child care services in Solano County.
The council’s mission is to provide leadership and advocacy for the development of high quality, accessible, and affordable child care programs for every child and family in Solano County. Board members include parents who currently use or have used child care, community members, public bodies that represent child care, and child care providers.
