Portland Community Forum to launch next month
A NEW Community Forum will soon be launched in Portland to help the public share ideas and build new partnerships.
The Portland Community Forum will launch at Community 2000 in Easton on Tuesday, December 7th.
It is hoped that the forum will provide participants with the space and opportunity to share information, raise awareness, forge new partnerships, and share resources and advice on everything from fundraising and events to recruiting volunteers.
Island Community Action CEO Kim Wilcocks said: “We know the huge and very positive impact and benefits that collaboration brings. By coming together now, we have the potential to make a real difference for our own organizations. and the communities we serve. ”
Besides sharing news and updates by members, the first meeting will also include the opportunity for members to decide on the priorities and format of future meetings.
The new community forum is part of the CIA’s new five-year initiative, The Portland Project, which is partially funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and Portland City Council.
The forum will be launched during the event between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
