Online workshop on mental health and well-being

The UIC CHANCE program cordially invites UIC students, faculty, administrators and staff to join us as we come together on our virtual Blackboard platform to host our annual three-week online workshop on “Mental Health and The well-being”. Offered free of charge, this workshop has been designed to help you increase your understanding and knowledge of managing stress and anxiety. Whereas we are now entering our third year of battling the COVID-19 pandemic (which has caused even more stress in our lives); the purpose of this workshop is to provide valuable health and wellness resources that can help you adopt and follow a personal wellness plan.
Our program will cover topics such as how to cope with societal challenges, stress and life changes and the importance of getting enough sleep, eating well, exercising and creating a wellness plan. -be daily for yourself. Hosted by Dr. Phyllis P. Hayes, founder of the SAFE program, and Professor Audria D. Green-Hawkins, our virtual campus strives to create an interactive learning experience that promises to keep you engaged in our virtual environment around the clock. and 7 days a week.
This workshop will host our Mental Health and Wellbeing Forum with special guest Dr. Belva Miles, Psychologist, UIC Counseling Center, on March 5 at 5 p.m. via Zoom. So if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, need someone to share your thoughts with and/or just plain tired on a daily basis, why not adjust your schedule, join us in our workshop and focus on some personal care over the next three weeks.
