Sudbury FFF rally to take place on November 5
A Fridays For Future event will be held at the corner of Long Lake Road and Regent Street from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on November 5.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
It’s Cop26 time. Cop stands for “conference of the parties” under the auspices of the United Nations. This year’s conference is the 26th, with the 2020 event being postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cop26 is hosted in Glasgow, Scotland. All Cop26 participating countries are urged to increase their targets / actions in line with a 1.5 degree Celsius increase in global warming and net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
The local organizer of the FFF, Sophia Mathur, will provide an update on the conference.
Wear a tartan – maybe that old kilt – to the Four Corners event. Bring a sign – Cop26 / No More Empty Promises.
