Joint Police Committee to hold public meeting in Newtownmountkennedy

The Wicklow County Council Joint Police Committee will hold a public meeting on Thursday, November 18 at the Parkview Hotel in Newtownmountkennedy.

The Joint Policing Committee (JPC) is a forum where the local authority and senior Garda officers can consult and make recommendations on matters affecting policing in the area and in particular to monitor levels and patterns of crime, disorder and anti-social behavior occurring and the factors underlying and contributing to it.

The focus of this public meeting will be on policing rather than individuals and securing the cooperation of the public in crime prevention. The local community will also have the opportunity to make their views known and ask questions during the meeting. All are invited to attend the meeting which will start at 7:30 p.m.

The public can submit written questions prior to the meeting by email to [email protected] Interlocutors must give their name and contact details, which will not be published. Wicklow County Council has stated that while every effort will be made to provide the requested information in certain circumstances, this may not be possible for legal reasons or because it would not be in the public interest to do so. to do.
