AAP Announces UT, Provincial Level Units at J&K
JAMMU, Oct 17: Aam Aadmi Part today announced the provincial level as well as union territory level units of the party in Jammu and Kashmir.
The party has formed the Jammu and Kashmir State Coordinating Committee of the AAP with former minister Harsh Dev Singh as chairman, while DDC member Mehraj Malik and Dr Ghulam Mustafa Khan will serve as co-chairmen. of the committee.
Likewise, the Jammu and Kashmir state organization building committee will be headed by Jammu and Kashmir’s Prabhari, while senior official Om Prakash Khajuria and DDC member Mehraj Malik will be co-chairmen. of the committee.
Nasir Ali Kochak will lead the J&K State Political Strategy and Policy Committee as Chairman with S Surender Singh Shangari as Co-Chairman, while the Jammu and Kashmir Manifesto Drafting Committee will be headed by S Deep Singh as Chairman while Professor Farooq Ahmed Aga will be Co-Chairman. of the committee.
On the other hand, Party Leader and DDC member TS Tony has been given the task of Chairman of the Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs Committee of Jammu and Kashmir with Sheema Farooqi as co-chairman.
The Aam Aadmi party also formed the State Media Committee with Dr. Nawab Nasir as Chairman, S Jagdeep Singh as Co-Chairman, while Prof. Farooq Ahmed Aga was appointed Chairman of the State Grievances Redressal Forum and SK Sharma as co-chair.
At the Jammu and Kashmir SC, ST and OBC Welfare Forum, Yashpal Kundal has been appointed Chairman with retired Justice Sikander Azam as Co-Chairman while Dr Mohammad Ayub Mattoo will lead the Jammu and Kashmir Publicity Committee and visibility as chair with Zafarullah Sheikh as co-chair.
The AAP also announced the provincial level units in the provinces of Jammu and Kashmir with Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Khan appointed as the Kashmir Provincial Chairman while Er Nazir Ahmed Yatoo, Mohd Amin Dar and Deeba Khan as vice presidents.
Similarly, in the Jammu province unit, S Surendra Singh Shangari was appointed Senior Vice President and Farooq Ahmed Banday, Raj Kapoor, Ravi Shastri, Rajesh Padgotra, Amit Kapoor and Subhash Sharma as Vice Presidents.
Meanwhile, Justice Retd Sikander Azam has been appointed as Prabhari of the ST Wing of Jammu Province while Khatib Hussain is the chairman of the unit.
The Jammu province unit of the Kashmir IDPs wing will be led by MK Yogi as Prabhari and Ashwani Kumar Bhat as the chairman.
The AAP has also announced units from some of the districts of Jammu and Kashmir with Mian Aayaz Ahmed Jamali appointed as Bandipora District Chairman, Younis Khan as Chairman of North Srinagar District comprising of four assembly constituencies, Owaise Wani as Chairman of South Srinagar District comprising four assembly constituencies.
Calling the announcement of all these units a big step forward by the AAP, the head of party organization building at J&K, Munish Kaushik said that a strong organizational structure is a prerequisite for every political party. and that the AAP now has the same in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that like other parties, J&K’s AAP units have highly educated presidents who have high qualifications like a doctorate and many are doctors, engineers, lawyers, technocrats, entrepreneurs and the presence of these highly educated and professional people in the units made Aam Party Aadmi a vibrant political platform.
He further said that the swearing-in ceremony of all the newly elected presidents will be held in Jammu on October 28 and Kashmir on October 29 and the campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will start. officially on November 1.
