Parliament’s Joint Ad Hoc Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation will travel to KwaZulu-Natal on Friday to assess recovery and reconstruction efforts following last month’s deadly floods.
Nearly 400 people died in the disaster which also caused massive damage to roads, bridges and other infrastructure in the province.
Last weekend, one person was killed and more than 200 others were displaced following further flooding.
